Day
1: Yangon City Arrival
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport
welcome by our local guide and transfer to the
Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing starts with
Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda (a huge reclining Buddha),
Karaweik Hall, a Royal floating barge on the
Royal Lake for a photo stop and late in the
afternoon, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda
described by Somerset Maugham: "The
Shwedagon rose superb, glistening with its
gold, like a sudden hope in the dark night of
the soul of which the mystics write,
glistening against the fog and smoke of the
thriving city." This massive bell-shaped
stupa rises nearly 100 meters above its
hill-top surroundings. Wander through this
magnificent structure and its courtyards,
stupas, bells, Temples, and Buddha images, and
see religious and secular visitors from all
parts of the globe. Shwedagon has become the
symbol of Myanmar. Enjoy the sunset over the
Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon-Kyaing Tong (Meals:
B)
In the early morning, breakfast at hotel and
transfer to airport to leave for Kyaing Tong
by air. Arrive at Kyaing Tong airport,
transfer and check in hotel. Lunch at
restaurant. After lunch, visit Ahaka Village
to see some national tribes. Transferring back
to Kyaing Tong. Overnight at hotel in Kyaing
Tong.
Day 3: Kyaing Tong (Meals:
B)
In the early morning, breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast, visit Pin Tauk Village and
then hiking to see Akha tribes. The villages
are situated about 600ft above sea-level.
Lunch on the way with lunch box. After lunch,
come back to Kyaing Tong. Overnight at hotel
in Kyaing Tong.
Day 4: Kyaing Tong (Meals:
B)
After breakfast, visit Kyaing Tong Morning
Market and see many minority people shopping
at the morning market. And then proceed to
Loi-Mwe, hill top palace with peaceful
surroundings (sea-level 5542 ft) and old
British colonial governor's house and old
church. Lunch on the way. After lunch, proceed
to Ho Latt Akha small village, Naung Cho Wa
village and Pang-Y Lahu village. Overnight at
hotel in Kyaing Tong.
Day 5: Kyaing Tong-Inle (Meals:
B)
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast,
transfer to airport for domestic flight to
Heho. Arrive at Heho airport and transfer to
Inle Lake. And then, drive to hotel by boat to
INLE Lake. Check in hotel. Lunch at
restaurant. After lunch, visit Intain village
and sightseeing in the lake by boat. Dinner at
restaurant by your own arrangements and
overnight stay at hotel in Inle.
Day 6: Inle Lake (Meals:
B)
In the early morning, breakfast at hotel and
visit Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, the most famous
pagoda of the Shan State. Ywa-Ma village, gold
and sliver smiths workshop. Lunch at
restaurant. After lunch, visit Jumping Cat
Monastery and floating gardens, local methods
of fishing, village life and the famous leg
rowers. In the evening, enjoy the sunset while
visiting the Inle Lake by boat. Dinner at
restaurant and overnight stay at hotel in Inle
Lake.
Day 7: Inle-Pindaya-Mandalay (Meals:
B)
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, depart to
Inle by our tour car. On the way, visit
Pindaya Cave with thousands of Buddha images
placed there by pilgrims over many centuries.
Lunch on the way. Proceed to Mandalay and you
will be arriving at hotel in afternoon. The
rest of time you will be free at your own
leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Mandalay.
Day 8: Mandalay (Meals:
B)
In the early morning, breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast, visit Kuthodaw (Maha
Lawkamarazein Pagoda) which is famous as the
world largest book of many stone slabs on
which is inscribed the whole Buddhist
Literature. And then proceed to Atumahsi
Monastery and Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden
Palace Monastery). Lunch at restaurant. In the
evening, enjoy the panoramic view of the city
from Mandalay Hill. Dinner at restaurant and
overnight stay at hotel.
Day 9: Mandalay-Bagan by Express Boat (Meals:
B)
Early morning departure by boat on the
Ayeyarwaddy River to Bagan. This downriver
trip about 8 hours. Lunch is served on board.
On arrival, transfer to hotel. And then Bupaya
Pagoda to watch sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy
River. Dinner at restaurant and overnight stay
at hotel in Bagan.
Day 10: Bagan (Meals:
B)
Full day sightseeing tour of Bagan with a
diverse selection of the most important
pagodas and temples, such as Shwezigon Pagoda,
built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th
century as a religious shrine; the Gu Byauk
Gyi Temple, a temple with exquisite murals of
Jataka scenes; the Ananda Temple, with four
huge standing Buddha images and numerous
seated figures in niches around the galleried
interior and the Shwe Gu Gyi Temple, noted for
its fine stucco carvings and panoramic views
of the area’s many monuments. In the
afternoon visit Myinkaba, two km south of
Bagan. This village is well known for its
lacquerware workshops and has also a number of
interesting temples, as Nanphaya Temple, said
to have once been the residence of King Manuha
and Gu Byauk Gyi Temple, which has very nice
frescoes inside. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 11: Bagan- Mt Popa - Bagan (Meals:
B)
After breakfast drive to Nyaung Oo and visit
the lively market and the down town area. Then
drive to Mt. Popa (appr. 1½ hrs drive). On
the way visit some villages and watch the
collection of juice from the palm trees, and
its conversion into palm sugar. Visit the
great extinct volcano. Rising out of the
shimmering heat, the solitary volcanic crag of
Mt. Popa is home to Myanmar's most powerful
" nats ". Visit the Nat Museum with
its life-sized statues of the 37 Nat Gods.
Walk up the steps to the stupas and shrines
that top the hill above the museum, seeing
many pilgrims along the way. In the afternoon
visit the Popa Mountain Park’s Information
Center operated by the Nature and Wildlife
Conservation Division. The area is indigenous
to over 150 different species of medicinal
plants and animals. Time permitting, enjoy a
short late afternoon trek into the forest to
visit a sandalwood plantation. Late afternoon
drive back to Bagan.
Day 12: Bagan - Yangon City Departure (Meals:
B)
After breakfast, transferring to the airport
for departure flight back to Yangon.
Connecting your departure flight onward. End
of service.
