Passports
Passport valid for at least six months beyond date of intended departure required by all nationals of countries referred to in the chart above.
Visas
Required by all nationals of countries referred to in the chart above except transit passengers continuing their journey by the same or first connecting aircraft, provided holding valid onward or return documentation and not leaving the airport.
Note: Nationals not referred to in the chart above are advised to contact the embassy for visa requirements
Visa Note
A separate visa is required for each child over seven years of age, even if travelling on their parent's passport.
Types of Visa and Cost
Tourist (Foreign Independent Travellers - FIT): £14. Business and Social: £20.
Validity
Tourist visas are valid for two months from the date of issue for stays of 28 days in Myanmar. This can be extended for an additional 14 days. Business visas are valid for three months from date of issue for stays of 10 weeks, extendable for up to 12 months on an individual basis. Transit visas are valid for 24 hours.

All you need to do is provide us with following information and a passport photocopy and your photo.

Below is the new visa application procedure for individuals as at 26th September 2006.
The Visa on Arrival is permitted by the board that includes Ministry of Hotel and Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Immigration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Submitting the application by Visitor
Important : We require your tour plan and hotel booking. You must send us your tour plan and hotel booking or you must book a tour package with us.

1. Visitor must apply Visa-on-arrival through licensed tour company from Ministry of Hotel and Tourism.

2. Visitor must fill in the Application Form. Send a passport photo and copy of your passport by email or fax (preferably  email).

3. Upon approval, we will send you the 'Approval Letter' by email/fax

4. All the airlines with connections to Yangon are informed of this procedure and you may show this 'Approval Letter' on  airline check in.

5. Upon arriving at Yangon International Airport, you have to present this 'Approval Letter' to the Immigration check in  counter.

Note : After the Government office moved to new capital, it takes more time to process your visa and we will take 2 weeks.
