Dear Tommy,

First, we'd like to thank you for a wonderful trip, which we will recommend.

We especially liked the Hoa Binh Palace in Hanoi, the Ancient House in Hoi An, and La Maison d'Ankor in Siem Reap - these were sufficiently non-western to suit our taste. The other hotels were just fine anyway. The shuttle provided by Ancient House to the Ancient Town and to the beach was very useful. La Maison d'Ankor was far from the town center, and we felt a little isolated. We would have liked to eat in Siem Reap one evening, but did not feel comfortable with the local transport.

We were impressed by your guides in Hanoi (Tai), in Hue, and around the south (An). The guide on the Junk trip around Halong Bay was not as knowledgable as Tai.

The guide in Siem Reap was young. He had learned his facts, but his English diction was poor, and we found him difficult to understand.

We loved the food. The only slightly disappointing meal was one we chose ourselves from a low-price restaurant. The restaurants recommended by your guides in Vietnam were all top-class. We did note that these were all very suitable for tourists because they offered western food as well as Vienamese.

We think that the itinerary you selected was excellent.

In Cambodia the Ankor ruins were magnificent, but we were a little disappointed in Siem Reap. We felt that the floating village and the lake were not interesting after we had seem the floating market near Can Tho.

We noted that during full day programs in Vietnam, lunch was included. In Cambodia, it was not.

We think that a half day in the Cambodian Heritage Village would be better than the lake trip. We requested, and got, a dinner/entertainment evening with local dancers. You might include this in your package.

We were surprised to be cheated at the Post Office: we asked how much for a stamp for a postcard - the answer was, as always "one dollar". We were charged $6 for a $3 pack of collectors stamps, which we did not want and did not need. Your guide took us to the Post Office, and should know about this.

There are many ATMs in Siem Reap, and the only currency they dispense in US$. Everything is priced in US$, and change less than $1 is given in Rial.

Cambodia entry does not require passport photos - they have computer cameras at Immigration. You should make sure that An in HCMC knows this.

There is a $25 per head exit charge at Siem Reap airport.

ietnam Airlines is better than many domestic US airlines.

We thank you again for a wonderful visit, and hope to return. On our next visit, we plan to see the NW including Sapa, spend more days in Hanoi, and stay for 5-6 days at Ancient House in Hoi An.

Dear Mr. Nguyen:

My wife and I wish to thank you for arranging our tour of North Vietnam that proceeded without any obstacles.  We enjoyed every facet of the tour and are glad that we went. The hotel in Ha Noi (Elegance II) that I requested was excellent and we would highly recommend it for its location, courtesy and helpfulness of the staff and the rooms.  The facilities on the Valentine junk and the gourmet food were superb, but we were disappointed that they (or other junks) never raised their sails which is what we see in all the advertisements.  The Victoria resort, trekking to the villages and cool weather in Sa pa were a pleasant break before we left for Hong Kong, but the guide, while very nice, was marginal in offering options while we were there.  For example, we decided not to go to Tai Phin, but asked about going to the waterfall nearby.  Other groups did this in the same time allotment, but the guide was not very resourceful in arranging this even though we would have been willing to pay him if there was an additional fee for the car.

All in all, we had a great time.  We may decide to travel to central Vietnam early next year and will give Luxury and Leisure Travel an opportunity to entice us to rebook another tour.

Sincerely,

Dear Tommy,

I am Magri, the eldest daugter of Dot & Anton Louw.  Sorry we are only contacting you now, but only resumed work today.

On behalf of my husband and myself, my sister & her husband, I would like to give you some feed back on our trip.

We enjoyed the trip very, very much and love your country. We got to know a few of your  people and enjoyed their company.  We had excellent guides and wish to recommend them all.  Our all time favourite was Tiger in the central region and we experienced the area through his eyes and he went out of his way to make us taste little cookies, sweeties and other little local things that meant a lot to us and he shared his vast knowledge in abundance.  The other guides were also excellent and the drivers are world class.  Amongst the drivers we cannot help to recommend Happy in the central region.  He is a lovely, friendly man.  All the Hotels were excellent and we can recommend them all.

The highlights we would like to single out are: Halong bay and the Mekong Delta. There again our guide, mr Bien went out of his way to let us taste and experience as much as possible. We took and extra tour to the DMZ and would like to suggest that you include that, together with the Vinh Moc tunnels in future tours. It was a very interesting tour and we learned a lot of the history and culture. We also visited the holy land of Champa and that was also an absolute highlight which my parents unfortunately missed.

In all we would like to thank you for a very well organised tour, excellent service and will recommend you, your company, your hotels, guides and drivers to any other prospective South African Tourists.   Please do not hesitate to let us know if we can put in a word for you.

Best regards,

Dear Tommy,

We had a wonderful time in Vietnam.  We enjoyed your country and your people. The tour guides were great. We enjoyed Christmas in our country with our children and we can hardly believe that it is already well into 2008!  We wish all of our tour guides and your company and staff a happy 2008.  I would like to mention that Tiger (we had him in Central Vietnam as a guide) was my favorite out of our guides.  He loves his country and shared his war experiences as a boy with us that made it so much easier to "understand" what it must have been like living during the war.  He taught as about your customs and food and we enjoyed his humors.  The hotels we stayed in was excellent and vehicles were comfortable and in excellent condition.  The guides were functional and reliable. They were very helpful and went out of their way to make the holiday an unforgettable experience.  We will definitely recommend your company and country to any fellow South-Africans.

Kind regards,

Hello Luxury & Leisure Travel in Vietnam
The Wolpe family were extremely satisfied with your services and felt that you had recommended their accommodation well although they would have preferred not to stay in Hue. Overall they had a wonderful trip and Herbert has asked me to convey their many thanks for a wonderful holiday. I shall certainly be using your services again in the future.

Dear Tommy,
I'm sorry I did not have the chance to write you earlier.  I wanted to thank you for organizing such a wonderful trip for us.  We all had a wonderful time and my parents thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  The guides were all wonderful, accommodating and knowledgeable.  I only wish your agency worked outside of Vietnam, so that we could use you in the future.  However, I will DEFINITELY recommend you to all of my friends who plan to go to Vietnam in the future.
Thank you again for planning such a wonderful trip.  Vietnam is a lovely country.
I wish you all the best and a very happy New Year.
Take care,

What a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY we had in Vietnam .  Although it is always nice to come home… we miss your beautiful country and it’s people very much. THANK YOU for making our holiday a memorable experience – everything you organized was perfect! The three Tour Guides we had did a great job, educational and always very entertaining. The bus, boat & air transport, hotels, tours, food venues meet our expectations and more. If we were to do the trip again….. I believe it was a perfect balance with a variety of boat, historical and religious tours, relaxation, cultural experience and of course time for shopping!

Our experience in Halong Bay on the Junk was breathtaking – the view, service, meals, kayaking, cave & village tour certainly impressed us all. We believe that Pilgrimage Village Resort was a beautiful place to stay and once all of the building is fully completed will be the perfect quiet resort.  We especially loved the Whale Island Resort Experience – the children enjoyed ‘windsurfing’ and we all enjoyed the opportunity to relax away from the hustle and bustle.  The Red Bridge Cooking School was great, not only did we learn how to cook Vietnamese style, we also had plenty of fun doing it!! The visit to the SOS orphanage and school was loved by all, for us it was inspiring to see the work that SOS is doing for the orphans – we felt blessed to have the opportunity to visit these smiley happy children and hopefully we brought a small amount of joy to them as well. (it was a very worthwhile part of our journey in Vietnam ). Our journey to Mekong Delta was long, however very worthwhile – visiting the delta villages and the floating market was fascinating.

I know there is even more to mention – however I’ll leave that to some of the others who traveled as well…. I’m sure they will be happy to give you their special highlights!

Tommy, All of our team were more than happy with Luxury & Leisure Travel

Many Thanks for making our trip so easy, hassle free & relaxed

Thank you for your email, it was actually my clients that were booked through you from our agency, but when I went on leave I had to leave it with Deborah to finalize for me.

They just got back and were very impressed with the guides and the hotel, their only criticism was that the one guide gave too MUCH information to absorb :-) But he said it was a fantastic honeymoon destination and they want to go back.

Vietnam is my favorite country in the world, so I sell it with pride. I cannot wait to return and thanks for being so professional, I was nervous to use you as I found you online and have never booked with you, but now I will use you often.

I look forward to doing future business with you. We are a huge touring company as well, I work in the leisure department but if you go to our website you will see what our company is all about; perhaps you can become a supplier for them?

Thanks and Kind Regards

Hi Tommy,

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier but when we got home turned computer on nothing happen, had to replace hard drive and power supply, only just got it reloaded yesterday. Thanks so much for planning our holiday. We really loved your country and the people. It was great to meet you in person after many emails. Also thank you for organising the wheelchair and rearranging some of the tours to suit Ken.

We would like to say a special thanks to Hai for all his help ,we really enjoyed his company, he is a very competent and caring person. We would highly recommend him as a tour guide. We wish him and his family all the best in the future and please pass our good wishes on to him.

Tommy, we did message you a couple of times but we didn't hear from you, so we thought you didn't get the message. We had a couple of small problems. When the guide picked us up at Nha Trang we ask him what time he would pick us up for our day tour, he replied " you have no tour, it's all free time" . We told him you had arranged a tour he then said his company had been too busy to arrange the tour and had forgotten. He organised a tour but was not exactly as the one you organised. The guide when we returned to Saigon was very knowledgable and spoke very good english. But we did have a few concerns that he didn't wear his ID badge all the time he was with us, when we asked him about it he said he left it at home. The next day we travelled 3 hours to Can Tho, next morning we went to the floating markets and he said that the tour was over and we now go back to Saigon and have free time. You had organised a full day tour so we showed him the dossier, he said he was sorry but there was a problem and could not do the rest of tour. We were disappointed as it was a long trip just to see the floating markets.( We totally enjoyed seeing how the people sell their produce)

Apart from the couple items mentioned we all had a great holiday visiting your country.

We would highly recommend you to our relatives and friends if ever they were travelling to Vietnam. We would like to wish you and the company every success in the future.

Kind Regards
