Breakfast at hotel and this morning is spent with a comprehensive half-day city orientation. Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature. If desire, you can also visit the famous Hoa Lo prison, which was originally nicknamed the 'Hanoi Hilton' by US prisoners of war (POWs). Back to your hotel or transfer to a local restaurant for lunch. Spend your time relax after lunch.
Afternoon at 15:00: Today’s class begins with a walk, accompanied by the Chef to the local market, where participants get a chance to learn all about Vietnamese ingredients. After that, everyone rolls up their sleeves in the kitchen to prepare a proper Vietnamese meal. After the class dinner will be served to sample all the different dishes prepared during your hands-on cooking demonstration. Overnight at hotel.
Morning depart for Halong Bay, we go through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. Heading out of the town we embark on a luxury junk boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay. This exciting cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. Stay overnight on the Junk Cruise.
Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, visit beautiful limestone grotto then back to the boat for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Private transfer back to hotel in Hanoi, and to Noi Bai International for an hour flight to Hue. Met and welcomed by a local representative upon arrival. Arrive in Hue and you will check in your accommodation. Your whole evening is spent relaxing at hotel. Good night and sleep well!
Breakfast at hotel and an early start today as we head to the local market with your Chef in Hue city, meeting local vendors and experience the joy of picking your own ingredients at the food and vegetables at the market. Back to the venue and do something new and a little bit different with this cooking class. Discover the hidden taste of Vietnamese and Hue typical cuisines on this interesting cooking class. The class is helpful and relaxable that helps you get knowledge about our cuisine. Enjoy your lunch after the cooking is done. After hearty lunch, relax for a while and the remainder of the day is spent with a comprehensive cultural sightseeing to visit the Citadel, the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, as well as the expansive tombs of the Nguyen emperors. Then you will visit the renowned Thien Mu Pagoda high on a bluff above the Perfume River. Free time to hang around Dong Ba market where you can buy some traditional Hue handicrafts. Evening is free. Breakfast is followed by a visit to discover the legacy of the Nguyen Dynasty with a visit to the elaborate Tu Duc tomb. This tomb, constructed between 1864 and 1867, is the most popular and impressive of the royal mausoleums. Emperor Tu Duc designed it himself to use before and after his death. Next, visit Khai Dinh Emperor's tomb - this hillside monument is a synthesis of Vietnamese and European elements. Most of the tomb’s grandiose exterior is covered in blackened concrete, creating an unexpectedly Gothic air, while the interiors resemble an explosion of colourful mosaic. If time permits, you will visit Thanh Toan bridge, a classic covered Japanese footbridge in picturesque countryside, this makes a lovely diversion from Hue. The tour continues with almost 3-hour drive to Hue via Ocean Cloud Pass that featured on the BBC's Top Gear Viet Nam Special - The Most Marvellous Wonder - On this journey, you will have a scenic stop overlooking of Lang Co Beach. It is quintessential old world Vietnam: A peaceful turquoise ocean ringed with mountains, lush greenery, and fishing boats. Continue driving to Hoi An via Danang. Breakfast at hotel and today you will enjoy a very cooking class at Red Bridge cooking school. This tour is designed for food enthusiasts wanting an in-depth understanding of Vietnamese cuisine. You will be taken by Chef tour to Tra Que organic herb gardens, walking through the market gardens where local farmers work their fields using the traditional methods of hundreds of years ago - no electrical machinery here. We pick fresh saw-tooth coriander and Vietnamese mint for our cooking lesson later, before trying a special herbal drink at a local home. Three hours of in-depth hands on cooking, lunch, and return trip to Hoi An by boat. Arriving at Red Bridge Cooking School we have a chance to freshen up before beginning our class. Working together with your Chef we learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food from scratch. Using the freshest ingredients and traditional Vietnamese utensils, we cook 4 famous dishes such as famous Beef Noodle Soup (Pho)’ & Clay Pot Fish with Dill. After the class we sit down and a chance to savour the dishes we have prepared. Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our 20 metre swimming pool. Relax for a while and you will discover Vietnam's most exciting and bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh on this interesting half day tour. First stop is Notre Dame Catholic Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the War Remnants Museum. This tour will also show how Ho Chi Minh is steeped in history with stops at historic landmarks including the former Presidential Palace where Saigon's government ruled from throughout the American war. Wander and join with locals at Saigon's iconic Ben Thanh market - a great place to buy local handicrafts, branded goods, art and other souvenirs. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast and private transfer to Cai Be. Day private cruise excursion starts from Cai Be, departing from our own pier in Phu An hamlet at around 10.00 am. Upon embarkation on a private sampan boat, clients. The tour will start with the visit of Cai Be colorful floating market, cruising among local sampans coming from all provinces of the delta full of fruits and vegetables. Your sampan will proceed to Dong Hoa Hiep island located between Vinh Long and Cai Be. During a 40 minutes cruise, you will be able to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people. Visit at an ancient mandarin house dating from the 19th century where the family will welcome you with a cup a tea. Back on board, we will lead to you to observe the activity of the biggest rice stock market. Further, others stops will allow you to see a traditional bricks and tiles factory and how locals are using palm leaves for houses. Cruising 20 minutes further to Phu An hamlet passing by Cai Be beautiful church, we will have a visit at some interesting home factories to see how rice paste is made, but also rice cookies, coco candies, as well as longan fruits drying process. Lunch will await you at Le Longanier, a superb Indochinese villa located in a lush tropical garden by the river, surrounded by fruit orchards. At 03:00pm, our car will transfer you back to Saigon.
