Rise early and start the day before dawn with a visit to witness the tradition of Tak Bat, where hundreds of saffron-clad monks silently walk through the streets at dawn to collect alms (offerings of food). As the sun rises, orange-robed monks emerge from their temples and walk barefoot down the streets of Luang Prabang, collecting offerings from local residents. This beautiful, tranquil ceremony highlights the spirituality of the Lao people. Afterwards, return to your hotel by tuk-tuk for breakfast.

Breakfast and head out of the town to visit one of the best elephant sanctuary in Luang Prabang. No bull hooks, no riding, no chaining. With the guidance of their mahouts who use verbal commands, the elephants socialize in their natural groups, play and bathe in the river and eat plenty of bananas and corn supplied from the villages nearby. The half day tour is a great chance for you to interact responsibly with the resident elephants, and while the elephants may not be able to roam the wild again they are given every opportunity to perform their natural behaviors. On this experience, you will also enjoy 2-hour trek and it will take you through beautiful Lao jungle, past traditional Lao farms, and past the cool Huay Nok stream, where you may experience elephants playing joyfully in the water. As you walk alongside the elephants on a small dirt path listening to their gentle footsteps and the sounds of the jungle around you, you will experience a profound sense of understanding, respect, and caring for these amazing animals. Morning depart for Halong Bay, we go through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. Heading out of the town we embark on a luxury junk boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay. This exciting cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves.
