You will finish the journey with 3 nights on beautiful Ngapali beach, a 3 km stretch of white sand and clear turquoise waters in the Andaman Sea, a marginal sea of the eastern Indian Ocean separated from the Bay of Bengal. Welcome to Myanmar, Mingalabar Yangon. You are met and welcomed by a local representative upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, privately transferred to a hotel in the city centre. Check in and settle into your accommdation, followed by a comprehensive city orientation with a guide expert. Venture into the Garden City of the East, with its evergreen and cool tropical trees, shady parks and lovely lakes. Go to the Railway Station to catch a ride on the Yangon Circle Line Train. The slow-travelling train loops through the outskirts of the city providing an opportunity to observe the life of rural Myanmar. After 45 minutes, disembark at Insein Market where vendors gather daily to sell a wide range of items including food and dry goods. Enjoy exploring the market and meeting friendly locals before returning by road to Yangon. Arrive in the city, proceed to have a coffee or tea break at the Strand Café, an establishment from colonial times with a distinguished history. After tea, explore the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar’s most iconic and revered Buddhist temple. Gilded with gold leaf, the 8-sided central stupa is almost 100-meters-tall and surrounded by 64 lesser stupa. The guide will explain the intricacies of the pagoda complex and explain why the temple is so revered among locals.
Breakfast at the hotel and an interesting tour is spent with a nice introduction of Yangon by hopping on a tour of the city’s grand colonial architecture via “Elephant Coach” - a restored antique Chevrolet bus. These Elephant Coaches are unique to Yangon and feature teak interiors decked out with Shan textiles and elaborate woodwork. visiting Sule pagoda - a 2,5000 year Burmese stupa, which is located in the heart of the city, an important religious site. Explore the major cobblestoned bazaar of Bogyoke Aung San Market, where you can practice your bargaining skills. Witness Royal Family treasures, including the pure gold and intricately carved Royal Lion Throne, at the National Museum. Continue your day with a visit to the Reclining Buddha at Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, watch as intricate carvings and colourful murals depict the life of Buddha and a 213-foot-long statue with an expressive enamel face. Back to hotel to relax. Return to your hotel, with time to relax. Overnight in Yangon.
Early breakfast and privately transferred to the airport to fly to Sittwe - the capital city of Rakhine State. sits in an incredible spot where the wide, tidal Kaladan River kisses the big, fat Bay of Bengal. It's a historic place, although there's little of that past still around or accessible. Upon arrival at the airport in Sittwe, you will be met a local tour guide and driver and will take you wander the lively market there. After that you will enjoy 3-hour boat trip to Mrauk-U which is popularly known as the Golden City, was the capital of Rakhine State from the 15th to 18th centuries, when the British relocated it to Sittwe. Along the upriver cruising to Mrauk U, you will have opportunity to enjoy scenic landscapes and daily riverlife of local people in Rakhine State. Checking into your accommodation at Mrauk U Princess Resort which is surrounded by mountain peaks, the Mrauk U River and endless paddy fields, this lush resort is set in its own private scenic grounds. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, morning visit Mrauk-U local market to see ways of life and proceed to Sek Kya Manaung pagoda, Pesi pagoda with 5 stone Buddha images on the hillock since Lay Mro period, then the 16th century temple of Koethaungtemple known as 90000 Buddha images temple, walk through Alay Zee village to discover the traditional hats, mats, baskets, fans making as home industries. Then lunch break and take a rest at your hotel. After Lunch walk through the maze like the Shithaung temple, known as 80000 Buddha images enshrined, built in 1535 with sand stone, looks like fortress with interior tunnel and stone carving relief, the adjacent Andaw Thein temple and proceed to Htukan Thein Temple. Enjoy the sunset from a small hill near Radanabon Pagoda where one can see the very wonderful sunset and back to your hotel. Overnight in Mrauk-U.
After breakfast at hotel, morning depart for Poe Phyu Kyun village and jetty by car about 30 minutes and then 2:00 hours sailing up by boat along very fantastic scenery up stream Lay Myo river to Pann Paung village. Visit around the village to discover very wonderful Chin ladies with tattooed faces with very beautiful exciting scorpion web Tattooed pattern and their simple ways of life.
After lunch proceed to Cho May or if the tide permit, Kun Chaung village to discover some more Chin Tattooed ladies and there you will see an amazing beauty of river sense from the village. Then return back along down stream 2:00 hours to Poe Phyu Kyun village and drive back to your hotel.
Please Remember: Kun Chuang village is accessible only from Nov to Jan because of the shallow water. The other Chin villages along Lay Myo river are Krit Chaung village, Sin Swe Gyo village, Pann Paung village, Cho May village can be visited in any time but due to the time permit.
Early morning check out & transfer to jetty and board on your boat to return back to Sittwe. Upon arrival in Sittwe, if time permit, visit View Point by the Bay of Bengal and detour Lawkarnanda Pagoda & Satkyamuni Buddha Image on the way to Sittwe domestic airport for the flight back to Yangon and then connect a scheduled flight to Ngapali Beach. You are met and welcomed by driver and privately transferred to a beach resort where you will spend 4 nights at unwind and relax. Overnight at hotel
Breakfast and airport transfer to Yangon and you will connecty your outbound flight to next destination.
