Guests are met and welcomed on arrival in Ho Chi Minh city. Enjoy a short drive to the city. Checking into your accommodation and remainder of the day will be at leisure. At 18:00, you will enjoy a very interesting tour to experience the nightlife of Saigon the way locals do, all from the back of a vintage Vespa scooter. Stops include drinks at Zoom cafe to watch "the world goes by" (as said in the Lonely Planet guide book), food and drinks at local restaurants (one stop for sea food and one stop for Southern food), samplings of Saigon's best authentic street/local food, a Vietnamese-style coffee shop (with live music) and wrapping up the evening at one of the many local nightclubs with live music, where the new generation of Vietnamese unwind and flaunt their unique style. Guests will enjoy and experience the Vietnamese night life with friends.... It's definitely a look at Saigon the way the residents live it -- nothing you'll find in a guidebook. Enjoy your great breakfast at hotel and today is spent with a full day comprehensive cultural tour of Saigon. You will discover Vietnam's most exciting and bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh on this interesting half day tour. You will visit all interesting sites and landmarks in Saigon City. First stop is Notre Dame Catholic Cathedral which is based on Paris' original monument, the Central Post Office plus the War Remnants Museum. Here at the war museum you will have the chance to gain an intense insight into the war through the eyes of the local people. This tour will also show how Ho Chi Minh is steeped in history with stops at historic landmarks including the former Presidential Palace where Saigon's government ruled from throughout the American war. Break for lunch at famous PHO 2000 and then you will also visit the gorgeous 19th-century temple is dedicated to the goddess Thien Hau, and always attracts a mix of worshippers and visitors who mingle beneath the large coils of incense suspended overhead. On the way coming back to the hotel, you'll spend your free time to hang around Saigon's iconic Ben Thanh market - a great place to buy local handicrafts, branded goods, Vietnamese art and other souvenirs. Breakfast at hotel and you will be free at leisure in the morning. At 13:00, you will be transferred to the jetty to join in a group to travel to visit famous Cu Chi tunnels. This interesting river journey will provide a glimpse of the changing faces of Vietnam – from the glittering skyscrapers and busy commercial centres to green paddy fields and pottery villages dotted along the Saigon River. On arrival you’ll visit the underground Cu Chi tunnels, exploring the tunnel site, which includes weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating authentic Viet Cong tunnel, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunitions etc.), a firing range and much more. Try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years. Enjoy a light meal on board during your journey back to the city. Overnight at hotel.

In the morning, you will enjoy a boat trip from "Vy's Market Restaurant" to Hoi An's colourful central market. Tour of the market with an English speaking guide followed by an interesting and informative tour of Vy's Market Restaurant, watching live cooking demonstrations with actual involvement and many food tastings. After two hour hands-on cooking class you will enjoy your lunch there. After lunch, you will enjoy a guided walking tour to visit Hoi An town, going through the Old Quarters to see the town's landmarks of Japanese Covered Bridge, ancient Assembly Hall, Phuc Kien Temple and then we take a river trip and you will enjoy the scenery along the Thu Bon River and the general view of Hoi An Ancient Town. It transforms itself at night, when many of the shops hang lanterns outside. We will transfer you back to the town and rest of time at your own leisure. Hoi An is well know for souvenir shopping with great prices and also famous for its large number of tailor shops, so if you want to get a cloth tailor made to measure, this is the time to do it. Breakfast at hotel and you will be free at leisure until you are transferred to the airport to take one-hour flight to Hanoi city. Meet and greet upon arrival and you will be free for several hours to make your own exploration to the Old Quarters. Dinner by your own account followed by a short transfer to Hanoi Raiway station to board an overnight train to Lao Cai (Sapa). Checking into your cabin. Overnight on the train.
The train arrives in Lao Cai at 05:00 am. We will drive uphill to Sapa. At an elevation of 1,500 meters, Sapa is the former hill retreat for French administrators when the heat in plain became unbearable. The remoteness and simple lifestyle of ethnic minorities are a highlight of Sapa although conditions are very basic. Breakfast at a local restaurant and you will spend several hours to wander around. The ethnic people are frequently seen in this hill town and small vendors along the street sell local textiles and handicraft. At 9h00 you will be transferred uphill to Heavens Gate (Tram Ton Pass), the highest pass of Vietnam. Here is the breathtaking view over the Muong Hoa valley, where you will have the opportunity to pass by during the days cycling trip. You will get on your bike and start descending into the Sapa valley, observing the fantastic scenery of mountains and rice paddy fields along the way. After leaving Sapa town behind for a while, you make a turn and follow a dirt road to the Black H'mong village of Lao Chai. From Lao Chai the road will take you to a village inhabited by the Giay tribe. You stop in a local house where you will enjoy lunch and have time to explore the village. After lunch you continue your ride along the valley. You arrive at Topas Ecolodge in the mid afternoon. You check in to your bungalow and enjoy the view over the valley and dotted mountain surroundings. Overnight at Topas Ecolodge.
Starting your morning taking a few minutes into fresh air outside then you will enjoy a great breakfast and prepare for today´s walk. At 9:00 AM, you will begin the excursion with a transfer on our private vehicle into Hoang Lien National Park to the trek starting point near Sin Chai village. You are now “off the beaten track” enjoying beautiful views of high mountains, waterfalls and the deep valleys.
The trails will soon lead you to the Red Dao village of Nam Nhiu, here you will meet the villagers, enjoy a cup of green tea in their house, and learn about their daily way of life. Leaving the village behind, you will turn into a small dirt trail and soon be inspired by the marvelous view of the rice valley dotted with bamboo huts, which used by local farmers as overnight lodge in harvesting days. Passing the rice terraces and a river you will walk on a quiet road for a while before arriving at Nam Cang village. Your lunch is served at Nam Cang Riverside Lodge, with jungle behind the lodge and river in front. At 14:50, you will have a transfer back to Topas Ecolodge. Here you may want to book an optional traditional Red Dao herbal bath at the lodge’s newly opened spa.
Following breakfast, we make our way back to Hanoi by vehicle (5 hours). Checking into your accommodadtion in Hanoi. Remainder of the day will be at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast is followed by a comprehensive city orientation which you will have a chance to get closer to see ochre-coloured colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and scenic lakes. You will explore the city's historic landmarks and sights. The moring tour is spent with a visit to see the historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilt where his belongings are on display and next is to visit One Pillar Pagoda - a historic Buddhist temple which was originally built in the 11st century and now is one of iconic temple of Hanoi city. Just a short distant drive will take you to visit the Temple of Literature which is made up of five temples and peaceful courtyards within one complex and parts date back to the 11th Century.
After a lunch break, you will then enjoy a visit Hoa Lo prison - South East Asia's top 5 macabre destinations which was used by the French colonists in French Indochina for Vietnamese political prisoners, and later it was nicknamed the 'Hanoi Hilton' by US prisoners of war (POWs) that housed American prisoners of war -- invited memories of a long and bitter war.
You will then take an in-depth tour on rickshaw "cyclo" to explore of the city's incredible and bustling part of the city. It is "Pho Co" or Old Quarters, where each street was historically dedicated to a specific trade or material, such as bamboo, silk and lacquer. While touring the narrow streets, learn about the history of the Old Quarter and its traditional architecture, and see how it has transformed into a fashionable district with cafes, art galleries and boutiques featuring the finest Vietnamese design and style. You will also attend and enjoy a performance of Hanoi's renowned water puppet show, or attend a performance at the landmark Hanoi Opera House. Back to the hotel and you will spend your evening free. Breafast at hotel and we will depart for Halong Bay, we go through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. Heading out of the town we embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay. This exciting cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. Stay overnight on the cruise in Halong Bay.
After breakfast, transfer to your day – trip boat with private crew and cruise to the bay’s most untouched areas. Enjoy swimming on quiet beaches, visiting water tunnels, fishing villages or kayaking. Lunch served on board by your private chef. Return to the mother boat for the night. Overnight aboard.
Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, visit beautiful limestone grotto then back to the boat for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock.
