Breakfast at hotel and the day is devoted to exploring the city of Hanoi and visiting historic landmarks and interesting sights. Hanoi is proud to be the Vietnam's culture heart and soul, bearing traces of centuries of changing dynasties. Visit Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and house on stilt. Continue to the lotus-shaped One Pillar Pagoda. Next, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnams first university where princes and children of mandarins used to study here. Lunch at a local restaurant and you will visit Hoa Lo prison where Vietnamese political prisoners were imprisioned by French colonists, and later it was nicknamed the 'Hanoi Hilton' by US prisoners of war (POWs). Yes it is recalling the memories of a long and bitter war. Next you will enjoy a cyclo ride through bustling Old Quarters. In late afternoon, you will also attend performance of Hanoi's renowned water puppet show, or attend a performance at the landmark Hanoi Opera House. Your evening is spent relaxing. Breakfast at hotel and after two hour drive brings you to Hai Phong city, where you will board the stylish and luxury overnight vessel that is your home for the evening. Greet your new day with sunrise Tai Chi overlooking the beautiful bay from cruise sundeck. This morning is also spent with an early morning kayak excursion among the towering limestone pinnacles. Return for brunch on board as the cruise makes her way back to port. Disembark the cruise and you will enjoy a 5-hour drive on our private vehicle to Mai Chau. Checking into your accommodation at the Mai Chau Ecolodge which is sitting atop a private hill in Na Phon village, Mai Chau Ecolodge is the most secluded haven in Mai Chau with a stunning backdrop of lush rice paddies and emerald mountains embraced by clouds. After a leisurely breakfast, you may opt to set out on a cycling tour of the local valleys. Your 12-mile ride snakes its way through Chieng Chau, Van Mai, Cun and Mai Hich, passing villages, lush rice paddies and seldom-seen countryside. A leisure morning and breakfast are followed by a comprehensive city orientation to explore the legacy of the Nguyen Dnasty, a powerful family that ruled Vietnam from 1802 to 1945. Venture inside it to discover the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, as well as the expansive tombs of the Nguyen emperors, should be priorities on any first-time visitor’s list of things to do in Hue. Once an important port and trading town, Hoi An is one of Vietnam’s greatest cultural relics and a melting pot of Chinese, Japanese and French influences. Visit the atmospheric Old Town to see the Japanese Merchant Houses, the famed Japanese bridge, the Chinese temples, old tea warehouses, temples and traditional pagodas. Free time for wander around the town and shopping. During the evening, you will have the opportunity to see the best of Hoi An, sitting along the riverside overlooking the town is transformed beautifully and charmingly itself at night, when many of the shops hang lanterns outside.
Fly this morning to Dalat City, private transfer to hotel and you will settle into your accommodation. Explore this beautiful city which is dubbed ‘The Little Paris of Vietnam,’ Dalat’s French colonial charms will amaze you. Here you can enjoy central Highlands city’s fantastic climate, breath-taking natural beauty, quirky heritage and thriving tea, coffee and wine culture. In afternoon, you will visit Hang Nga Guesthouse, also known as Crazy House, where Gaudi meets Dali and Disney in a space that is at once whimsical and bizarre. Breakfast at hotel and this morning is spent with an excursion to outskirt of Saigon. You will travel out of the city and into the countryside to explore the expansive Cu Chi Tunnel network, a key Vietcong underground battlefield during the Vietnam War. You have the opportunity to squeeze into and crawl through the small tunnels once traversed by Vietcong guerrillas. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Back to the city and remainder of the afternoon is spent relaxing.
At 18:00, you will enjoy a very interesting tour to experience the nightlife of Saigon the way locals do, all from the back of a vintage Vespa scooter. Stops include drinks at Zoom cafe to watch "the world goes by" (as said in the Lonely Planet guide book), food and drinks at local restaurants (one stop for sea food and one stop for Southern food), samplings of Saigon's best authentic street/local food, a Vietnamese-style coffee shop (with live music) and wrapping up the evening at one of the many local nightclubs with live music, where the new generation of Vietnamese unwind and flaunt their unique style. Guests will enjoy and experience the Vietnamese night life with friends. It's definitely a look at Saigon the way the residents live it -- nothing you'll find in a guidebook. After breakfast your day is devoted to a full comprehensive day of city exploration. You will discover Vietnam's most exciting and bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh. First stop is Notre Dame Catholic Cathedral, the Central Post Office near by and also get closer to see the War Remnants Museum. This tour will also show how Ho Chi Minh is steeped in history with stops at historic landmarks including the former Presidential Palace where Saigon's government ruled from throughout the American war.
